15 years later, Iftiin has decided it was time to have a logo refresh to better portray its’ journey and how far the organisation has come.
From its’ early days, formed by a group of young diaspora challenge takers, the organisation
grew from building one school in a town without any schools, to 15 schools that are now educating thousands of children. And have served thousands more, through its health and water programs.
Welcoming the new logo, IFED’s CEO Mr Abdihafid Siad says that,
“the logo fits in well with Iftiins’ firm belief in the power of education and the values it upholds. It marks the beginning of a new chapter and the start of better things to come.”
Iftiin worked with Convey design agency to develop its’ new logo. Convey is a London based, award-winning design studio creating cross platform communications resulting in crafted, functional and effective solutions.
Iftiin, which means ‘light’ in Somali, has roots in the Somali proverb that “without education there is no light”. And IFEDs’ new logo will carry on the flame that was lit in 2006.
